This controller has a preset counter up to 150/250oC. The Induction heater contains a transformer with primary connected to the 230 V AC supply and in the secondary section there are no windings but a bearing, coupling, gear and pulley. Voltage is induced in the secondary when the input supply is switched.As the bearing is round, the secondary is electrically short which results in the rise in temperature of the bearing.The heating is cut off when the item to be heated reaches the preset temperature. But there should be a marginal rise in the temperature after the cut-off as stabilization of heating takes some time. There is a magnetic pick up with a built in a probe. Moreover, a timer is provided to the digital temperature controller which helps in setting the time from 0 to 99 mins. The timer is useful in prevention of overheating in case of some wrong functioning and it also helps in the measurement of exact time taken.

Example: If the timer is set at 10minutes and temperature at 125oC, On the completion of heating within 10 minutes the temperature indicator will switch off, other wise after 10 minutes the timer will switch off. If the temperature reaches to 90oC in 10 mins, the machine can be restarted. The repetition will cause in a cycle of 10 minutes from a base of 90oC. Hence, a combination of preset controller and preset timer provides better safety.
